Founded in 1978, BHP Laboratories has grown from a specialist construction materials testing lab into one of Ireland’s most comprehensive independent testing facilities. Based at our purpose-built laboratory in Thomondgate, Limerick, we employ over 50 specialist scientists, engineers and technicians delivering testing, analysis and monitoring services across multiple disciplines.

Our independence is central to our value. As a privately owned laboratory with no ties to any contractor, manufacturer or supplier, our clients trust that every result we deliver is impartial, accurate and reliable.
